Welcoming our new Associate Trustee

As we work through the shortlist for our two new Trustees, we have an exciting announcement to share.

We're excited to welcome Emily Mabin Sutton to the board as an Associate Trustee. This role sits alongside our Trustees and is intended to bring additional expertise to the team while providing valuable learning opportunities for this exceptional young person.

Emily is a startup & tech heavy-hitter, as well as bringing a passion for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the industry. As GM of Climate Club and an emerging director, we are sure we'll learn with her as she learns from us.An emerging director, Emily is a trustee of Consumer New Zealand and independent director at Clean Planet Franchise. As the GM of Climate Club, she now works with businesses, councils and leadership teams to engage decision makers around long-term climate impacts.

 From a software & IT background, Emily spent a decade working in hypergrowth global startups across the world, and brings knowledge of AI, technology and data governance to the board.

"I'm excited to have been appointed as an Associate Trustee to gain more exposure to governance practices and governance of organisations with direct GHG emissions reductions goals" says Emily.

 In her free time she campaigns for faster climate action, including successfully campaigning to get coal out of schools and closing a loophole in the ETS.
