F-gas engineer forecasts are underestimated
Despite a significant increase in the number of F-gas certified personnel in Europe trained on alternatives, previous forecasts of the number required by 2030 may have been grossly underestimated.
A Hot Water Heat Pump Programme will be the first initiative offering industry support through The Equipment Replacement Scheme (ERS), which is part of the Government Investment in Decarbonising Industry Fund (GID).
The scheme supports small to medium businesses in the commercial and industry sectors install and upgrade to energy-efficient, low emissions, technologies and processes.
The Hot Water Heat Pump Programme will include a focus on:
Retrofitting hot water heat pumps in commercial buildings
Proven technologies for equipment replacement
Support for switching from fossil-fuelled boilers to ‘air-to-water’ heat pump hot water systems,
Co-funding for up to 30-50% of project costs (in accordance with criteria).
We'll update you when this programme opens.
