The Electrotechnology, Information Technology and Creative Industry Skills Board (ETITC ISB) is seeking feedback on their 2026 review of HVAC&R qualifications.
The plant is coming out. Contractor's booked, replacement units are on order, and somewhere down the list is a line that says sort out the old refrigerant.
That line is easy to leave until late. It's also the one that can stall removal day, because the gas doesn't leave the site until someone can tell you where it's going, who's collecting it, and what you get for it.

1. What happens to the recovered refrigerant at the end of the process?
The gas stays a project issue after it leaves the site. A broad environmental claim doesn't tell you where it ends up, so push for the end point in plain terms: where the refrigerant goes after recovery, and whether it is destroyed.

2. How will collection or drop-off work for this project?
